Some chose Beatles songs, some chose Wings songs, and some chose Paul solo songs. Bedroom pop musician Jordana said “Wonderful Christmastime” is her favorite Paul song.
“Every time Christmas time rolls around and this song comes on, I’m like, ‘This is the one,’” he said. “I love Christmas music. I love the vibe of the season, the feeling of it. This is just a happy, happy tune. I always heard it on the radio growing up.”
Jordana said that she couldn’t write a better song for the season. “It’s a pinnacle Christmas song, I can’t think of a better one to sum it up,” she said. “I think I’ll write a Christmas song. I have never made one before. But how can I beat that!?”
Jordana revealed what she thought about Paul McCartney’s place in The Beatles
Jordana said “Wonderful Christmastime” is better than the entire Beatles catalogue. “It was always in the atmosphere, but I also had my Beatles phase when I was 13 or 14 years old,” she said. “I used to watch live videos from the ’60s. But this is just the best.”
In addition, Jordana spoke about the influence of The Beatles in her songwriting. “I would say they were an influence, with the song structures and the way they wrote their songs,” she revealed. ‘I was a big fan of the song’Hiker.’ There are a couple of hits, and the model for writing hits is Paul.”
