Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi will miss West Brom’s English championship clash against his former club Rotherham United at The Hawthorns on Saturday. PUNCH Extra Sports reports.
The 29-year-old defenseman who last played a competitive game for the Baggles in August suffered a shoulder problem during training last weekend.
The former CArdiff defender had previously recovered from an ankle injury suffered against Wigan Athletic in August which required surgery.
“We are in better shape because the only player we are going to be missing this weekend is Semi Ajayi,” Baggies manager Carlos Corberán told the club’s website.
“Against Sunderland we had a few more injuries but this week only Ajayi is out.
“Unfortunately, he couldn’t recover in time and he needs a little more time to come back.”
