CSGO and Dota 2 have a sizeable user base in India but as competitive titles they are not as popular in India as they are abroad. With AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0, both titles can attract gamers in India and allow them to explore more competitive titles.

AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0 is said to take place as a LAN line event in Mumbai in December 2022. The official announcement reads: “It’s time to revive and bring back the sensational games of OG! Get ready to summon your squad, the time has come! The most anticipated AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0 is back. Two games that revolutionized esports in the world: CS:GO and DOTA are back on the scene now in India.“
After weeks of teasing one of the most anticipated esports tournaments of the year, Skyesports has revealed details about its upcoming Championship 4.0, which will bring back some of the best titles in the global esports community.
Shiva “Marvel” Nandy, CEO and Founder of Skyesports, officially announced last week on November 18 that the upcoming AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0 has been registered under the “Professional Tournaments” category of Dota 2.
Although the prize pool for the Dota 2 event has not been formally confirmed, the information provided indicates that prize money is expected to be around $15,000.
Skyesports has announced that it will invest $1 million in prize pools from upcoming online and LAN events throughout 2022 and 2023 as part of its collaboration with Ampverse. With the recent announcement of the Championship 4.0 tournament, both CS:GO and DOTA 2 will spark nostalgia in the community.
Skyesports also announced the Pokemon Unite India Open tournament earlier this month. The tournament will feature a prize pool of Rs 22,50,000 (approximately $27,165) which recently concluded its registration phase. Pokemon Unite India Open 2022 will also take place as a LAN line event alongside the AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0.
