American singer Tina Turner loses her son at the age of 62

Ronnie Turner, actor and son of legendary Swiss-American singer, Tina Turner, has died at the age of 62.

While the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, TMZ reports that police received an emergency call from Ronnie’s residence in San Fernando, Los Angeles on Thursday.

The caller said the actor was outside his home and was having difficulty breathing.

Arriving at the scene, paramedics pronounced him dead after attempts to revive him proved futile.

His wife, Afida Turner, expressed her grief over the loss through her Instagram page on Friday.

Afida, who shared photos of her late husband, described him as her “best friend” with a “huge soul”.

“OMG Ronnie Turner true angel huge soul very spiritual my husband my best friend my baby,” she wrote in all caps. “Me, your mom, your nurse.

“I tried my best until the end this time, I couldn’t save you. I love you for these 17 years. This is very very very bad. I am very angry. This is a tragedy. You with your brother Craig, and your father Ike Turner, and Aline rest in paradise aaaaa. So unfair.”

Tina Turner, 83, had previously lost her first child, Craig Raymond, who committed suicide at the age of 60 in 2018.

Reports from authorities indicated that Craig died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Studio City, California.
