Soon the Ticket application, to buy currency, will be available in the eastern provinces of the country. According to its developers, this will eliminate the long physical queues, which will be replaced by a virtual queue, with turn-taking.The bank that groups the Exchange Houses (CADECA) made the announcement, although without specifying the exact date on which Boleto will be operational in that part of the country. This stage includes the establishments of Las Tunas, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo.
It had been announced that the CADECAS of Las Tunas, as well as those of Manzanillo and Bayamo, in the province of Granma, would begin operations this Monday morning. In the afternoon they could start using the application in Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo. The only thing missing was to know the date on which the digital ticket application would be enabled in Holguín.
Ticket is an online reservation system, which could be used for various services, such as restaurants, hairdressers or government paperwork offices. It began its testing stage at the CADECA in Santa Clara, and according to the entity’s directors, before the end of the year it should be functional throughout Cuba.
Application to buy dollars in Cuba
To book an appointment to buy dollars, the first thing you must do is register with your name and identity card number on the platform. Then select the service you want to book and the day. If there is availability, the time is indicated and the appointment is confirmed.
If the demand for the service exceeds the supply, the “virtual waiting room” is activated. There, turns are automatically granted according to the order in which people made the request.
Users who make the reservation must go to CADECA with their identity card on the date and time established. Each ticket is personal and non-transferable, although when booking it is allowed to declare three beneficiaries, who are the only ones authorized to consume the shift.
Ticket is available for PC at ticket.xutil.net, while for mobile devices with Android operating system it can be downloaded at www.apklis.cu.
It will provide facilities to those who do not have an Android cell phone or a computer.
