Elon Musk explains why Kanye West’s Twitter account was suspended again

Twitter CEO, Elon Muskhas suspended the account Kanye West for violating the rules of the platform.

West, also known as Ye, posted an image that appeared to be a Nazi swastika inside a Star of David, a religious symbol of Judaism. In the post, he indicated that the image would be the logo of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Shortly before his account was suspended on Friday morning, Ye also tweeted an unflattering image of a shirtless Musk aboard a yacht with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel spraying him with a hose, writing: “Let’s always remember this as my last tweet.”

Non personal: In reaction, Elon Musk explained that the suspension of Kanye West’s account was not personal despite the personal attack. He said:

  • “Just clarifying that her account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering photo of me being told off by Ari. Frankly, I found those photos to be helpful weight loss motivation! I did my best. Despite that, he violated our rule against inciting violence again, the account will be suspended.”

Previous suspension: This is not the first time West’s Twitter account has been suspended. However, Musk restored his account after taking over Twitter.

Since his inauguration, Musk has restored many accounts previously suspended by Twitter for breaking its rules, including that of former US President Donald Trump. Trump insists that Twitter will be used to promote free speech.
