Denning Edem Hotor, known as Edem as his stage name, a Ghanaian recording artist and entertainer, has complained about the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).
According to hitmaker ‘You Dey Craze’, GHAMRO, which collects royalties on behalf of musicians in Ghana and disburses them to them, is the most useless entity in the country.
This comes after GHAMRO began sharing royalties with artists who are registered members of the organization as part of the year-end payout in which some musicians netted as little as GH¢153.27.

Meanwhile, GHAMRO’s chairman of the board, Rex Omar, recently hit back at his critics who always berated him for cutting musicians’ money in the organization.
