Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reiterated his commitment to the well-being of civil servants in the state, promising to make them happy during his tenure.
The governor gave the assurance at the Kwara State Civil Service Awards Dinner and Night, according to a statement from his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Sunday.
“From our part as a state, we will make sure that we always do the most responsible and sustainable things for you (public servants) to make sure that you have a conducive environment to work in and to make sure that your salaries are paid as and when they are due.
“We will do whatever it takes to make you happy. Once it is satisfied, it will hand over the service to the state,” the quoted statement said.
Meanwhile, the Governor also presented a car key to the recipient of the State Civil Service Award, Dr. Kazeem Lakadir.
The governor said the award was recognition and appreciation for Lakadir’s outstanding performance and character in service.
Congratulating the star winner and other honorees, AbdulRazaq vowed to uphold his administration’s motivational programs for the state’s workforce.
“Let me congratulate the awardees of this event. It is really well deserved. It’s good to make sure the workforce is happy, bring them together and make sure the right things are done for the state,” he said.
“By the special grace of God this event will be bigger next year. As you know, our government takes your well-being very seriously and we always will,” he added.
