Rex Omar, born Rex Owusu Marfo, Chairman of the Board of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), has stated the specific roles he has been playing in the organization.
He revealed: “I am the chairman of the board and I am not even part of the management, so I do not wake up every day to drive and sit in GHAMRO to work because my job is to lead policy making.
“To ensure that management puts the policies in place so that I can grow the organization so that I don’t go there every day because I have my won business that I run, so people need to understand that,” he continued.
He said on Kastle FM: “Kojo Antwi came to do a bit and left and some people also came to carry on, so I definitely can’t do everything, so when I get to a certain level I’ll also drop it one day and go get someone to continue. .
Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle Entertainment Show, the ‘Obi Do Ba’ hitmaker said that those who think he is just cutting money from the musicians in GHAMRO should know better.
“So that’s what it is, those who think that Rex Omar has nothing better to do and that his only interest is to sit in GHAMRO and be cutting money from musicians should know better,” he concluded as MyNewsGh.com supervised.
