iQOO has launched the Neo 7 and Neo 7 SE in China. The company is now preparing to launch another smartphone in the lineup. The next smartphone in the Neo series will be called the Neo 7 Racing Edition. The third smartphone in the line will be released at the end of this year. iQOO revealed that Neo 7 Racing Edition will launch in China on December 29. The company also revealed some key details about the phone.

The teaser post, which confirmed the device’s China release date, also revealed that the Neo 7 Racing Edition will launch with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Let’s take a look at the so far known specifications, features, and other details of the iQOO Neo. 7 Racing Edition.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition: what we know so far

The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition will be the company’s third Neo 7 series smartphone in China. The official trailer has revealed the details of the phone’s processor. The Neo 7 Racing Edition will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The SoC, which was Snapdragon’s previous flagship mobile SoC, has a maximum clock speed of 3.2 GHz.

By comparison, the Neo 7 has a Dimensity 9000+ SoC, while the Neo 7 SE has a Dimensity 8200 SoC.

iQOO also revealed that the phone will have a Pro+ display chip, but details about it are unknown.

A recent leak revealed a few other details about the phone. For starters, the performance-focused phone is said to offer up to 16GB of RAM. We can expect it to arrive with up to 256 GB/512 GB of storage. iQOO might also launch the phone with 8GB/12GB RAM options.

There will be a 6.78-inch Full HD+ screen. It should be a 120Hz AMOLED screen with a hole-punch cutout at the top.

Apart from this, the phone is rumored to support 120W fast charging. This, again, is becoming standard on all iQOO premium smartphones, which can typically charge the phone in around 20 minutes. The battery capacity of the device is unknown, but based on the company’s recent trends, we can expect the Neo 7 Racing Edition to pack a 4700 mAh to 5000 mAh battery.

Other details of the Neo 7 Racing Edition are under wraps. The smartphone could arrive early next year in India. iQOO is currently preparing for the launch of the iQOO 11 5G in India.
