The 19-year-old multi-award winner, Yaw TOG born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, has revealed that he owns his personal record label, which is known as ‘TogLife’.
“I have my own record label which is TogLife, I mean, I have my own record label as a family thing to get to the top, so it’s our own sweat that by the grace of God we’re using to do everything,” he said. Amansan Krakye in a personal interview.
Sharing his experience running his own record label, the iconic young artist from Kumasi said it hasn’t been an easy task, but he’s determined to make it work.
“However, it has not been easy to own a record label, but we have to face it because we got involved in this profession, but no one forced us to be a part of it, so I have to face it,” he said on Kastle FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com
Yaw TOG, who won ‘Hip Hop Song of the Year’ at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), commented that getting to the top is no easy task, but he is slowly trying his best to get there.
“I need to do the job very well because reaching the top is not easy, you have to face many things before arriving, so I would say that we go little by little and hope that by the grace of God everything will be fine,” he concluded in the Castle Entertainment Show.
