Starlink is set to launch its new Starlink Mini dish. SpaceX updated its application over the weekend and this was accompanied by official images of the parable itself, which will start to be deployed in some areas as early as next month. Starlink antennas provide an Internet satellite connection. In France, the service is available from 40 euros per month, with the purchase of the connection kit at 349 euros.
Starlink Mini: Compact, Portable, and Easy to Install
The new Starlink dish was published on X by Ukrainian engineer Oleg Kutkov, along with images of the recent certification of the Mini by the Federal Communications Commission. According to the FCC document, Starlink Mini contains an integrated router that supports the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands with 802.11ax and 3×3 MIMO. There is also an Ethernet port for those who want to connect directly.
Elon Musk responded to Kutkov’s tweet, stating that he had just installed the parable and that it took him about five minutes. He also clarified that the antenna could be easily transported in a backpack.
In a subsequent tweet, Tesla’s boss and SpaceX released a screenshot showing download speeds of 100 megabits per second, loading speeds of 11.5 megabits per second, and a latency of 23 milliseconds.
About half the price of the standard dish to buy and monthly subscription, but you can still watch multiple 4k video streams simultaneously!

This means that the Starlink Mini is likely to have slower speeds than the standard parabola. However, 100 Mbit/s is more than sufficient for multiple 4K video streams, video calls, voice chats and file downloads. Online gambling could even be possible if the latency is constant.
According to Elon Musk, Starlink Mini will cost about half the price of the standard version, allowing a price to be considered in the region of 200 euros. In one of his X messages, Musk even suggests that this solution could be a good “backup internet connection if your fixed line breaks down.”
Finally, it should be remembered that Starlink also intends to offer a satellite mobile telephony offer that works on conventional cellular smartphones. The company recently made the first Starlink satellite video call from telephone to telephone.
