FTA Little people, big world Season 24 continues to delve into the Roloff Farms Conflict. Matt Roloff decided to put 16 acres of Roloff Farms for sale after failing to sell the property to his children. Now, eagle-eyed fans noticed that property values seemed to drop on Zillow. This is what is happening.
Has Roloff Farms been sold? Matt Roloff put 16 acres up for sale
Matt Roloff decided to put 16 acres of Roloff Farms up for sale after he couldn’t agree on a purchase price for Zach or Jeremy Roloff. “Today 16 acres of the farm’s 109 acres are for sale, including our original family home and bright red barn,” Matt posted on Instagram. “It’s a little scary but most of all exciting…it’s time to move on to the next stage of life.” He listed the acreage for $4 million.
Unfortunately for Matt, Roloff Farms did not sell. He took it off the market and later posted about partnering with iTrip Vacation Rentals to make Roloff Farms available for rent by Little people, big world fans.
“Various stakeholders talked about many different business ventures, like buying the little farm with the big house to use as a short-term rental…think Airbnb,” Matt aware. “One of these companies entered into serious negotiations with me and after having many meetings and conversations (and spreadsheets haha) I have decided to take the little farm off the open market and partner with @itrip_vacations and open up @rolofffarms to anyone and everyone who wants to stop by. a few nights at the Roloff family home.
Roloff Farms’ estimated value dropped by more than $1 million, according to Zillow
When Matt Roloff put Roloff Farms up for sale, Zillow he listed the estimated value of the property at around $4 million. But the fans turned on Reddit He noticed that the assessed value of the property has dropped significantly now that the farm is no longer for sale. Zillow now lists the value at $2,401,700.
“Funny how being off the market for a month brought the estimated value down to less than 2.5 million, at least a more realistic value for the property,” the Reddit poster wrote.
“When the property was listed for sale in late October, the Zestimate was going for $4 million,” another fan wrote. “So from October 24 to November 30, the property literally lost $1.5 million in value? I honestly think it was too expensive to begin with.”
Other fans think that Matt deliberately priced Roloff Farms at an astronomical price so it wouldn’t be sold on purpose. Then the Roloff family could have the story for TV and Matt could go through with the rental plan from him.
The Roloff family continues to discuss the estate on season 24 of ‘Little People, Big World’
It looks like Roloff Farms will remain in the Roloff family for the foreseeable future. But Amy, Zach and Matt Roloff are still talking about it in Little people, big world Season 24.
In episode 5, Amy told the cameras that her children couldn’t afford Matt’s asking price for his share of the property. “None of those guys can afford that,” she said.
“I definitely think both guys have moved on,” he added. “But that doesn’t mean that the feelings, the emotions and the story suddenly disappear and everything goes back to normal.”
