Nigerian Breweries Plc has empowered 472 youth and women with skills acquisition at six locations in Nigeria.
The recipients were recently welcomed at graduation ceremonies held simultaneously across the country in Lagos, Abuja, Ota (Ogun), Kaduna, Ama (Enugu) and Awo-Omamma.
In a statement, he said that during this year’s edition of the skills acquisition program, recipients were trained in a wide range of skill areas.
Nigerian Breweries Plc Managing Director Hans Essaadi said: “The initiative furthers the company’s commitment to its corporate philosophy of winning with Nigeria as it seeks to support youth and women on their journey towards entrepreneurship, job creation and financial independence. ”
While he congratulated all the recipients at all locations, Essaadi urged the recipients to maximize what they have learned by making judicious use of it.
According to him, all the beneficiaries will also receive start-up tools as a way to support them on their entrepreneurial journey.
In his remarks, Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, who was represented by Lagos State Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Ms. Bolaji Dada, said the program has further cemented the commitment of the company with corporate social responsibility, particularly with the host community.
