Nokia has launched its new budget smartphone, the Nokia C31 in India today. The Nokia C31 is the successor to the previously released C21 Plus. The smartphone was launched globally in September 2022. The C31 was launched in India in two storage configurations.
The phone comes with budget specs and sports a polycarbonate back. It has a Unisoc processor under the hood. HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia, has launched the C31 with a 6.7-inch HD screen, three-day battery life with AI-powered battery saving features, Android 12, triple rear and selfie cameras powered by Google, and other features. The Nokia C31, launched in India, comes in two storage variants. The base variant has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage which is priced at Rs 9,999. There is also a 4GB + 64GB variant, which is priced at Rs 10,999. The Nokia C31 comes in three colors: Charcoal, mint and cyan.
The company has not revealed the sale date of the C31 but it will be available in the Nokia website and at other major retail outlets in the country. It will soon be available on all major e-commerce platforms.

The C31 sports a 6,745-inch screen with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch at the top of the screen.
The phone features a 5MP front facing camera and a triple camera setup at the back. The rear camera setup includes a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Google camera app offers various modes such as portrait mode, HDR, night mode, smart storage, etc. There is an LED flash along with the camera sensors on the rear panel.
Under the hood, the C31 has a Unisoc processor; however, the exact details about it have yet to be revealed. The SoC (System-on-Chip) is paired with up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The device also offers storage expansion via a microSD card slot. The phone comes with a 5050 mAh battery that is claimed to last for three days on a single charge. Nokia says it is using AI-powered technology to save device battery life.
The Nokia C31 runs Android 12 out of the box. Users will be able to see some pre-installed apps including Spotify and GoPro Quik.
