The couple selected a photo of themselves and their two children, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, 3, and Lili, 1. In the photo taken by Alexi Lubomirski at his house in Montecito, CaliforniaHarry and Meghan smile and laugh with Archie and Lili.
“This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, into the world. Archie made us a ‘mom’ and a ‘dad’ and Lili made us a family,” they said in an attached message.
“As we look to 2022, we have made donations on his behalf to various organizations that honor and protect families, from those relocating to Afghanistan to American families in need of paternity leave,” they concluded.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 2021 Christmas card combined what James described as a “celebrity look” with a look “into their life”.
“With little Lilibet held aloft to command this very loving family pose, Harry and Meghan continue their preferred theme of allowing us a glimpse or look at their life and happy moments,” the expert said.
James noted the more relaxed behind-the-scenes feel of the contrast photo “posing looking directly into the camera to ‘speak’ to us as many more formal card poses tend to do.”
Overall, it “creates a celebrity look but is undeniably full of genuine joy and shared affection,” he said. “And we’re shown a tight-knit family unit that wants to be seen celebrating a balanced sense of freedom and mutual happiness.”
Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili have ‘matching-looking smiles’ in their 2021 Christmas card
James also pointed out the similarities between Harry and Meghan’s facial expressions and those of their children. “All four of them sport matching-looking smiles that have turned into shared laughs,” he said.
Meanwhile, the family of four is moved, seemingly adding to the “family unity” message.
“Harry has a protective arm around his little son as he smiles an adoring look at his little girl,” James observed. And “Lilibet smiles back at her mother as Meghan’s head tilts back to rest on Harry’s chest.”
