Nubia is preparing for the launch of a new gaming smartphone. The company has already teased the launch of the RedMagic 8 series. The company claimed that it will launch the world’s first gaming smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The RedMagic 8 Pro which will be a premium gaming smartphone offering of the company, was also recently seen on the 3C website. The listing revealed the fast charging details of the gaming smartphone.

A new leak has now revealed some more details about the Nubia gaming smartphone. Tipster Digital Chat Station has uploaded the specifications of the RedMagic 8 Pro. The leaked information includes the battery, camera, display and other specifications of the phone.

RedMagic 8 Pro tipped to feature a triple-camera setup

The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro is expected to launch in select markets in the first quarter of 2023. The phone’s specifications have already been leaked. Tipster Digital Chat Station revealed (via) that the gaming phone will have a 6.8-inch OLED display. The screen will be flat. While the tipster didn’t reveal any details about the refresh rate, we can expect it to offer at least a 165Hz refresh rate.

Digital Chat Station further added that the phone will come with a 16MP front-facing camera. The rear panel will sport a triple camera setup. It will have a 50MP main camera. There will also be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP tertiary sensor.

The upcoming RedMagic series gaming smartphone is said to pack a 5000/6000 mAh battery under the hood. It will offer support for 165W fast charging. The device will weigh about 228 grams and measure 163.98 × 76.35 × 8.9 mm, according to the tipster.

It has already been confirmed that the RedMagic 8 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which has a maximum clock speed of 3.2 GHz. The SoC comes with four performance cores at 2.8 GHz and three efficiency cores at 2 .0 GHz. We can expect Nubia to launch the phone with 8GB/ 12GB/ 16GB RAM options at least. The phone could also provide up to 512 GB of internal storage.

Nubia could also launch the phone with a dedicated Red Core 1 successor chip to improve the gaming and audio experience. It’s also likely to feature customizable shoulder triggers for compatible games, which are also found on the previous model. To keep the heating in check, we can expect the RedMagic series phone to come with a cooling system under the hood.
