The Redmi K60 series will debut on December 27. The company has confirmed that it will launch the K60 Pro as its new flagship smartphone. In addition, there will be the Redmi K60e and the K60. The company has started teasing the specifications and features of the upcoming Redmi flagship smartphones. Xiaomi has now released another trailer, which reveals the display specifications of the K60 series.
According to the latest trailer, the K60 series will come with a flat screen. There were rumors about the K60 Pro with a curved screen. The latest teaser reveals the front of the device, showing a flat panel with a hole-punch cutout at the top center.
In addition to the front panel design preview, Xiaomi has also confirmed some of the display features. For starters, the K60 series phone will offer resolution support up to 2K. The 12-bit display will have a P3 wide color gamut and 1920 Hz PWM dimming support.
The screen will also be brighter than ever. Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphones Redmi will have a display with a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. The screen will support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and will have a pixel density of 526PPI.
Xiaomi did not reveal the screen size, but according to rumors, the Redmi K60 series will feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The devices will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. The company has already confirmed that the K60 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the K60e will get the new MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The vanilla K60 will feature a Snapdragon SoC 8+ Gen 1.
The company has also confirmed that the phones will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
In addition to this, the design of the K60 series was also revealed. The phone will sport a rectangular camera module at the back. There will be a triple camera setup with an LED flash inside the camera module. There are two circular cutouts and one square cutout for the three sensors. The text on the back of the camera module confirms that the main camera supports optical image stabilization (OIS).
Some leaked details suggest that the vanilla model will pack a 5500mAh battery and offer 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging support. The K60 Pro is likely to offer 120W fast charging and 30W wireless charging support The K60e, which will be the entry-level model, will support 67W wireless charging.
One of the Redmi K60 series phones is said to come with a 50MP triple camera setup. The other device is rumored to feature a 64MP triple camera setup. Lastly, the K60 and K60 Pro will support MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box, while the K60e could launch MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
