Xiaomi, for the past few days, has been sharing posts related to the Redmi Note legacy. The brand has now confirmed that it will bring the Redmi Note 12 series to the Indian market very soon. Redmi India took to social media channels to share the first teaser of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series. The social media post shared by the company mentions the Redmi Note 12 5G series, suggesting that all upcoming smartphones Redmi Note 12 series will be 5G enabled.

Prior to launch, a microsite was also launched on However, the microsite does not reveal anything about the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series. The microsite shows three smartphones with a triple rear camera setup, suggesting that the Redmi Note 12 5G series for India could include three models. The camera module design shown in the launch teaser resembles that of the Redmi Note 12 Pro series that was unveiled in China in October.

Xiaomi has revealed something about the upcoming smartphones. However, a recent leak suggests that one of the Redmi Note 12 series models will be equipped with a 200MP camera setup. For those who don’t know, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (Chinese variant) offers a 200MP camera and 210W fast charging. The Redmi Note 12 series smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 is the successor to last year’s Dimensity 920 and is manufactured on a 6nm process. This is the same processor that powers the Realme 10 Pro series in China. While the global variants of the Realme 10 Pro series are said to feature the same processor as its predecessor, the company has confirmed that it will be using Dimensity 1080 in the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ in India.

Redmi Note 12 series devices in China feature 6.67-inch OLED display panels with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Vanilla Note 12 supports a maximum brightness of up to 1200 nits. While the Pro variants have a maximum brightness of 900 nits. The Redmi Note 12 and Note 120 Pro have a 5000mAh battery with 33W and 67W fast charging support respectively. While the Note 12 Pro+ offers a smaller 4300mAh battery but supports blazing fast 210W charging.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Note 12 Pro offer a 200MP and 50MP camera setup respectively with OIS support. While the Vanilla Note 12 offers a 48MP main shooter. All three devices also feature 2MP macro sensors. The Note 12 Pro series smartphones also offer an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The Redmi Note 12 and Note 12 Pro rely on a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. While the Note 12 Pro+ has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
