Ree Drummond and her husband Ladd are preparing to be empty nesters
On November 29, Drummond led instagram to share a photo of her and Ladd bundled up outside. She pointed out that they are training for the inevitable empty nest that is only a few weeks away.
“Todd will be leaving for college in five weeks, and Ladd and I are actively trying to set up new activities together as empty nesters approach,” he explained in the caption.
So we took the afternoon walk together now! Well, we have for the last two nights,” Drummond continued. “But still… I couldn’t wait to share the news. As we walk, we pick up trash that has come in from Kansas. So at least Ladd can tell himself that he’s working and not just walking. Friends, wish us luck.”
Some Drummond fans were shocked that Todd is leaving for college soon
Many of Drummond’s fans expressed their disbelief that Todd is heading off to college. “How is that possible?! I remember when you had little kids and just started blogging,” one person commented. “Come back when black heels to tractor wheels it was just a series of blog posts. Wild.”
