Samsung has launched two new Galaxy A-series smartphones in India. The company has expanded its Galaxy A series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A04 and Galaxy A04e. The two Samsung smartphones are entry-level offerings from the company and are being launched as successors to the Galaxy A03 series. The Samsung Galaxy A04e is the more affordable option of the two. It is priced at less than Rs 10,000 and comes in three storage options. The Samsung Galaxy A04, for its part, has been launched with two storage options.
Both Samsung smartphones feature support for virtual RAM, which Samsung calls RAM Plus. The devices also include a MediaTek SoC and a beefy battery under the hood. Let’s take a look at Samsung Galaxy A04, Galaxy A04e price in India, specifications and features.
Samsung Galaxy A04, Galaxy A04e: Price in India
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A04 with two storage options in India. The base model of the phone includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It is priced at Rs 11,999. There is also a 4GB + 128GB storage option, which is priced at Rs 12,999. The phone was launched in green, copper and black color options.
The Samsung Galaxy A04e, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 9,299 for the base 3GB + 32GB storage option. It also comes in a 3GB + 64GB option, which is priced at Rs 9,999. The top-tier storage option with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 11,499.
As part of the introductory offers, consumers can purchase the devices with EMI options starting at Rs 999. Also, consumers can get Rs 1000 cash back with Samsung Finance+, Zest and IDFC First. The devices will officially go on sale through Samsung.com and select retail stores starting December 20, 2022.
Samsung Galaxy A04, Galaxy A04e: Specifications
In terms of specs, both phones pack a beefy 5,000mAh battery under the hood. The devices also feature a USB Type-C port and support 10W charging. They draw power from a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which has a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. Both phones support RAM Plus up to 4GB, which it is Samsung’s version of virtual RAM.
The devices also run on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. On the front, there’s a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a small notch at the top. Samsung calls it the Infinity-V display. The screen supports a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz.
Both phones also come with a dual camera setup at the back. However, the primary sensor is different. The Galaxy A04 has a 50 MP main camera, while the Galaxy A04e has a 13 MP main camera. Both phones also feature a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera. There is no fingerprint scanner, but the phones support AI face unlock.
