Samsung has launched a new budget smartphone in India today. The Samsung Galaxy M04 has been officially launched on Amazon and is priced at less than Rs 10,000 in the country. Weeks after spotting the device on various certification websites, the company has finally made it official.
The latest M-series smartphone packs some decent specs and has a similar design to the Galaxy M13. The Samsung Galaxy M04 comes with features like a 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution, a large 5000mAh battery, a 13MP main camera sensor on the back, up to 128GB of expandable storage, and much more. Samsung Galaxy M04 Price in India, date of sale
The Samsung Galaxy M04 comes in a single configuration of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage which is priced at Rs 8499 on Amazon India. However, the company is teasing another variant with 128 GB inbuilt storage, so we can expect the company to launch another configuration within a few days.
The device will go on sale from December 16 at 12 noon. The company had already teased its price between Rs 8,000 and Rs 9,000 during the launch announcement.
It will be available in three colors: mint green, gold, white and blue.
Samsung Galaxy M04 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M04 has a 6.4-inch screen with HD+ resolution. The company has not confirmed whether it has used an IPS, TFT or AMOLED display. On the front it has a notch in the shape of a drop of water to house the front sensor. The company isn’t teasing any high refresh rate displays on the Galaxy M04, so we can speculate that it’s just a 60Hz panel.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6765 processor, which is basically a Helio P35 chipset. The system-on-chip (SoC) is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. Also, it features Samsung’s RAM Plus technology, which is essentially the virtual RAM feature. In heavy tasks, it will start taking up to 4 GB of memory from internal storage and will act as an extended RAM which will help to improve the performance of the device.
The device boots OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung has promised that the Galaxy M04 will receive two years of major operating system (OS) updates.
The Galaxy M04 packs a 5000mAh battery unit inside that supports up to 15W charging. Whether the company ships the charger with the box or not is not confirmed.
As for the optics, it has a dual rear camera setup. The 13-megapixel main sensor is attached to a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 5MP front-facing shooter.
