Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with some incremental updates while tweaking the design a bit. With the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the South Korean tech giant could improve the most key element of a foldable phone: its screen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 first set of specs leaked
Samsung has refrained from updating the screen size of the Galaxy Z Flip series for a long time. However, things could change with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. Young took to Twitter to reveal the display specs of Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone.
The Screen Analyst claim (is that Samsung will launch the Flip 5 with an invisible fold for the folding screen. He revealed that Samsung will use a new hinge design, which will “reduce the visibility of the seam.”
Young also revealed that the outer screen will be larger than 3 inches. The outer screen of the foldable phone could be between 3.3 and 3.4 inches long. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a 1.9-inch cover screen. If the leaked details are true, Samsung may not only catch up with Chinese rivals like Motorola and OPPO, but also take the lead by launching a foldable phone with a larger clamshell screen.
The Moto Razr 2022 has a 2.7-inch OLED cover display, while the upcoming OPPO Find N2 Flip is rumored to feature a 3.26-inch cover display. Find N2 Flip live video leaked online revealed that the foldable phone will have a vertically tall rectangular clamshell display, which can be used as a mini version of a smartphone display for checking notifications, making phone calls, etc.
Samsung may also want to make the Galaxy Z Flip 5 a more lucrative option for buyers as OPPO is rumored to launch the Find N2 Flip in global markets following its debut in China. The Chinese smartphone giant has not confirmed any details, but tipster Ice Universe recently revealed the details about the global launch on Weibo.
The size of the foldable screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is unknown. We can expect it to have at least a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED screen, which is currently the size of the screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The phone could also get a Plus version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which could launch in the second half of 2023.
