Shatta Wale mocks Black Stars after World Cup fiasco

Popular reggae-dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, known by his stage name Shatta Wale, has poked fun at the Ghana national soccer team.

This follows the elimination of the Black Stars from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after they were defeated by the Uruguay national soccer team led by Luis Suárez.

Ahead of the penultimate Group H match between Ghana and Uruguay, the Black Stars only needed a drawn match to advance to the next round of the competition.

However, the revenge that many were looking for backfired, as Uruguay were able to score two unanswered goals, meaning Ghana were bottom of the group with just 3 points.

Sharing his thoughts on the soccer game in a Facebook post, Shatta Wale asked his fans if they could play his song JJC, which stands for “Johnny Just Come,” to welcome the Black Stars.

“Guys can we play JJC to welcome the BLACKSTARS at least 🤣 or they will beat us 🤣🤣🤣🤣,” he wrote, seen by MyNewsGh.com reporter Amansan Krakye.
