Soldiers kill four bandits in Kaduna LGA


Operation Forest Sanity troops neutralized four bandits during clearing operations at identified hideouts around Tsohon Gayan, Chikun local government area of ​​Kaduna state, according to Samuel Aruwan, state commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.

The Commissioner said that the troops also recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine with 22 cartridges and a motorcycle.

He also said that the governor, Nasir El-Rufai, expressed his joy at the bravery of the troops.

A statement from the commissioner in Kaduna on Sunday said: “This was conveyed in operational comments to the Kaduna state government. The troops made contact and pursued the fleeing bandits. Two bandits were neutralized during the confrontation, while reliable human intelligence sources revealed that two others died from gunshot wounds.

“Credible sources in the general area reported that two of the four neutralized have been identified as Dogo Mallam and Bello Mallam.

“The troops recovered an AK47 rifle, a magazine with 22 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle.

“Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed his satisfaction with the report and praised the troops for their resistance and courage in the latest success.

“Cleanup operations will continue in the general area and elsewhere.”
