Charlyn Aikman was the mother of former NFL quarterback Troy Aikman. She was born in Long Beach, California, in 1942. She married Kenneth Aikman and gave birth to Troy on November 21, 1966.
Charlyn also had two daughters, Terri Starns and Tammy Powell. Her three children were very close to her throughout her life. She had a strong bond and a wonderful relationship with all of her family members.

Troy Aikman shared a moving post on Instagram to honor his late mother, Charlyn Aikman, last Thursday, one day after her death.
“I have always believed that there are angels among us,” Aikman wrote on Instagram.
“My mom was one of those angels. My sisters and I could not have asked for a better mother. A selfless woman who sacrificed more than anyone could imagine for the sake of her children. Since her passing last night, I have received a tremendous amount of support.
“The prevailing message is how nice he was to them, which doesn’t surprise me. She was kind to everyone. And she always had time for anyone who wanted to take something from her. She was loved. I know she knew, but I don’t know how much they would miss her. I love you mom.”
The emotional post has managed to earn more than 43.3K likes and 4,722 comments. Most of the comments are tributes to the deceased, as the post served as a digital obituary for Charlyn Aikman, the late mother of Troy Aikman.
