Vivo could be gearing up for the launch of a new budget smartphone. The company is likely to expand its lineup of Y-series smartphones with the launch of the Vivo Y35m. The exact launch of the upcoming Vivo smartphone is unknown at this time. Vivo is expected to share more details on the same soon. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y35m has been spotted on the China Telecom and Geekbench websites.

The listing on China Telecom reveals some key specifications of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. The Vivo Y35m could be more or less similar to the Y35 5G, which launched earlier this year in China. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features and other details known so far of the Vivo Y35m.

Vivo Y35m specs listed on Geekbench, China Telecom

The Vivo Y35m could be a new budget 5G smartphone from the company. It is likely to debut in China first, followed by other markets. The phone has been spotted on the China Telecom website under the model number V2230A. According to the listing (via), the phone has the model number V2230A. The aforementioned device comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen and has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

The listing further reveals that the phone has a 5000 mAh battery under the hood. It has also been seen on the Geekbench website, which revealed the details of the performance unit. The Y35m draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In addition to this, the Geekbench listing reveals that the phone has 8 GB of RAM. The device runs Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of Origin OS 3 in China. Other markets are likely to get Funtouch OS 13 if the phone debuts in those regions.

The Geekbench listing also revealed that the phone scored 538 and 1688 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

In addition to these details, China Telecom’s listing revealed that the Y35m has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will come with up to 256 GB of internal storage and will offer support for storage expansion via a microSD card.

At the back, there will be a dual camera setup. The phone will feature a 13MP main camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. There will also be a 5MP front camera. The phone is said to measure 164.05 x 75.6 x 8.15mm and weigh around 185 grams.

The China Telecom listing also reveals the pricing details of the Y35m. Its base model will come with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It will be priced at CNY 1499 (roughly Rs 17,800). There will also be a 6GB RAM option with 128GB of internal storage, which will be priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 19,000).

The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options will be priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 20,100) and CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 21,300). The Y35m is said to launch in Obsidian Black, Dawn Gold, Starry Night Black, Starlight Orange, and Ice Cloud Blue colors.
