The Russian Navy will have in early January the new hypersonic missiles cruise Zirconone of the weapons that Moscow has developed in recent years, the Russian president declared on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin.
“Starting in January, the frigate Admiral Gorshkov will be equipped with the new hypersonic missile zirconthat has no equivalent in the world,” the Russian president said during a meeting with senior staff of the Ministry of Defense of Russia to analyze the situation on the Ukrainian front, take stock of what happened in 2022 and plan the next one.
The Russian president added that his country continue to develop its military potentialr, including the “combat readiness” of its nuclear forcesin the context of the conflict in Ukraine and the crisis with the Westerners.

“The armed forces and combat capabilities of our armed forces are constantly increasing every day. And this process, of course, we will develop,” Putin said. “We will continue to maintain and enhance the combat readiness of our nuclear triad,” he added.
Putin also vowed to give his armed forces whatever they ask to support the military campaign in Ukraine, saying that there were no financial limits.
He further said that Russia should take special account of the importance of drones in the ten months of conflict and stated that the Russian hypersonic missile Sarmatnicknamed “Satan II”it would be ready for deployment in the near future.

On the other hand, the Russian president reiterated that against Russia in Ukraine the war potential and the possibilities of NATO countries.
The meeting was attended by the commanders of the Russian military districts, the various troops of the Russian Army, the heads of the central bodies of the Russian military command and representatives of the federal bodies of executive power. Putin thanked the military involved in the invasion of Ukraine and called for a minute of silence for the fallen at the beginning of his speech, broadcast live on state television.
The main report of the Putin-led meeting was presented by the Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu.
The minister proposed to increase the number of fighters of the Russian army up to 1.5 million soldiersas well as raising the age limit for military service.
“It is necessary to increase the number of armed troops up to 1.5 million servicemen, including 695,000 contract soldiers”Shoigu told Putin, who “agrees” with the proposals.
The minister also accused Western countries of “extend to the fullest” military actions in Ukraine in order to weaken Russia.
“The West is trying to drag out military actions in Ukraine for as long as possible in order to weaken Russia,” Shoigu said.
The Russian minister also expressed concern about the increased NATO presence near the borders of Russia and Belarus.
