Xiaomi is ready to launch the Xiaomi 13 series in its domestic market. The company has confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in the Xiaomi 13 series. Ahead of the launch, the brand started revealing the key specifications of the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones through the teaser. In a recent sneak peek, the brand has now confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Other than that, the brand has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 series smartphone will use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. Let’s take a closer look at the details.
Xiaomi 13 series: specifications and features
Xiaomi, through the latest launch trailers, revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which will come equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. For those who don’t know, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was announced a couple of weeks ago and it is manufactured on a 4nm process. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses an Adreno 740 GPU and a Kryo Prime core (clocked at 3.2 GHz) which is based on the Cortex X3 core.
Xiaomi has also compared the performance of the Xiaomi13 series to the Apple iPhone 14 series. The company says that the multi-core performance of the Xiaomi 13 series is 37% better compared to the A16 Bionic that powers Apple’s latest iPhones. The company also claims that the GPU performance of the Xiaomi 13 series is 42% better compared to the A16 Bionic.
Xiaomi, through another launch teaser, revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will come equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. The brand had previously used the same sensor in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Xiaomi has also confirmed that all Xiaomi 13 series smartphones will feature a 75mm telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture and Leica imaging technology. The company has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 series devices will feature an IP68 rating.
Ahead of the launch, a new leak has also surfaced on the web revealing some of the key specifications of the Xiaomi 13 duo. Judging by the leak, the Xiaomi 13 will feature a 120Hz flat-screen display with Full HD+ resolution and will measure 6.36 inches. inches in size. While the Pro variant is designed to use a 6.73-inch curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The company is said to use the AMOLED E6 display on the Xiaomi 13 series device which will support a maximum brightness of 1900 nits.
The Xiaomi 13 will reportedly be equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX800 primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Whereas, the Xiaomi 13 Pro could rely on a 50MP triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a Samsung JN1 sensor, and a 50MP telephoto camera with a Samsung sensor. The Xiaomi 13 is said to be backed by a 4,500mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. The Pro variant, on the other hand, could come equipped with a 4,820mAh battery unit and 120W fast charging support. The Xiaomi 13 series smartphone is designed to feature 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
