The Xiaomi 13 series will debut on December 11. The company will launch two new premium smartphones namely the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro 5G. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has started showing off the key design features and specifications of the upcoming flagship phones. Today, the company has revealed the design of the Xiaomi 13. The official press renders reveal the phone in two colors.
Xiaomi has teased the phone in its white and blue color variants. The images also give us a better look at the design of the smartphone. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features and other details of Xiaomi 13 revealed ahead of the launch.
Xiaomi 13 will launch with a flat frame design
The Xiaomi 13 will be the more affordable flagship smartphone of the two to be launched at the December 11 event in China. Xiaomi revealed that the phone has a glossy frame, which is flat. We can see antenna lines on the frame, suggesting the use of metal. Although the frame is flat, the rear panel curves towards the corners to offer a comfortable grip. The right edge of the phone houses the power and volume buttons. On the bottom edge are the USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and main speaker grill.

The images also show the Mountain Blue colorway sporting a faux fur finish on the back. The white color option, on the other hand, appears to have glass on the back.
The phone also features a triple camera setup and an LED flash inside the square shaped module. The text on the camera module reveals that the phone has 15-75mm focal length lenses. There is also the Leica brand, which confirms Xiaomi’s collaboration with the legendary camera equipment manufacturer.
On the front, there’s a hole-punch cutout in the top center of the screen, which is flat. There are very thin bezels around the screen.
Other details of the phone have also been leaked. The 13 5G is said to have a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 4500mAh battery. The phone will also support 67W fast charging along with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
At the back, the camera setup will feature a 50MP main camera sensor. It is said to be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. There will also be a 32MP front camera for selfies. Xiaomi’s next flagship phone will run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of MIUI 14 on top.
